Josh Portman was born and raised in the United States and is originally from Columbus, Ohio.

He studied at Northwestern University where he received both his undergraduate and law degrees.

After graduating from law school Josh moved to Israel where he has resided since 1990 with his wife (whom he met in Israel) as well as his 3 children and grandchildren.

Josh has been practicing law in Israel for nearly 30 years specializing in the representation of foreign residents (mainly from English speaking countries) in real estate acquisitions, sales and investments.

Josh prides himself on providing personal, individualized service from start to finish, paying attention to the finest details of every transaction and catering his representation to the specific needs of foreign citizens doing business in Israel.

His expertise includes the negotiation and drafting of contracts, tax advice, assistance in procuring financing, estate matters and general expertise in all matters relating to real estate.

Josh is the owner and managing partner of his own private boutique real estate firm, Portman Law Offices, located in Jerusalem.
